dominique success story

For anyone involved in digital marketing, SEO skills aren't just nice-to-haves—they're career game-changers! While everyone's fighting for visibility online, those who actually understand how to rank websites are cashing in on serious opportunities.

We recently caught up with Dominique Casacop, a freelance digital creative and musician who transformed her career trajectory by investing in our SEO Training Course.

Actually, it’s her client who invested in our course and are now reaping the rewards.

There’s something unique about Dominique—she’s an SEO Specialist and a very talented violinist. Every day I’m amazed at how she balances her music and SEO careers.

Her journey from digital creator to problem-solving SEO professional shows exactly what happens when you stop dabbling and start mastering the skills that clients actually pay premium rates for.

Without further ado, here's my short interview with Dominique:

Interview with Dominique

Q1: Can you give us a short intro about yourself? What are you currently doing?

Hi! I’m Dominique Casacop, a freelance digital creative specializing in web development, social media management, and content creation. I love combining creativity and strategy to help businesses achieve their goals.

Outside of the digital space, I’m also a violinist and perform part-time gigs for events and special occasions.

Q2: Why do you want to pursue a career in SEO?

I got interested in SEO when I started learning how important visibility is for any business online.

I became fascinated by how keyword research plays a key role in helping the right audience find a brand or product. Understanding the process—from researching keywords to optimizing content and analyzing results—made me realize how powerful SEO is in driving organic growth.

It’s not just about ranking high on search engines, but about connecting people to what they’re truly looking for.

Q3: Let’s talk about your experience with our course first. How did you find out about SEO Training Philippines?

I found out about SEO Training Philippines through Facebook and YouTube ads (Yesh: I didn't know our ads show up on YouTube!). I was actively looking for ways to upskill.

Q4: What made you decide that this is a course that you’d like to take? I’m sure you saw a few other courses along the way.

Yes, I did come across a few other courses, and my client even used to give me links and resources to learn from. But when I saw SEO Training Philippines, I felt that it was different.

I recommended it to my client and asked if we could try it out because I really believed it would help me. I was looking for something with nd a clear structure—and this course had that.

It wasn’t just a bunch of scattered lessons; it had a step-by-step flow that made everything easier to understand and apply, especially for someone like me who wanted to learn and implement things right away.

Q5: How difficult was the course for you? We made the course as comprehensive as we can, so it’s quite long and definitely not for everybody.

I’ll be honest, the course was definitely challenging, but in a good way.

The content is comprehensive, and there’s a lot to learn, especially for someone just starting in SEO like me. At times, it felt overwhelming because of the depth of information, but that’s also what made it so valuable.

The step-by-step approach and structured lessons helped me break it down and stay on track. The pace was just right for me, and even though it’s long, I appreciated how thorough it was.

Q6: From our conversations, I know you already have an SEO client. How many job listings did you apply to before getting this client?

When I started freelancing back in May 2020, I had no experience at all, and I applied to over 200 job listings before I finally landed my first client in July 2020.

With my SEO client, I met him in 2021 and was fortunate to work with one of the best bosses I've had. That experience really shaped my career. Fast forward to 2024, and we decided to focus on SEO. It’s been a game-changer, and now I’m planning to expand further in this field.

Q7: Did you use our cover email templates as-is, did you make any changes, or did you use your own?

I haven’t applied to other clients yet, but I plan to use the cover email template with a personal touch when I do. I think it’s a great starting point, and adding my own style to it will make the emails feel more authentic and tailored to each opportunity.

Q8: How do you balance your SEO work with your [music] gigs?

In the beginning, balancing both was challenging, but my passion for what I do has kept me motivated. I typically dedicate my mornings to SEO tasks and other work, while my violin gigs are scheduled in the evenings.

If any scheduling conflicts arise, I adjust by working on tasks during my available time. I also keep notes on my priorities and tasks for specific days or weeks, which helps me stay organized and manage my time efficiently.

Q9: You recently had some challenging issues with a client’s website, but you overcame them. How did STPH help you overcome it?

Yes, I recently faced some challenging issues with a client’s website, particularly with errors affecting its SEO performance.

The website had issues with broken links, slow page speeds, and missing metadata, which were impacting its rankings. The process was a bit overwhelming, but the SEO strategies I learned from SEO Training Philippines helped me tackle these problems.

The mentor, Sir Yesh Quiijano, was very approachable and always willing to help whenever I had questions. With his guidance, I was able to identify the issues, implement the right fixes, and improve the website’s performance.

Note: The Ahrefs score "measures the proportion of internal URLs on a website that do not have errors". While it's not the end-all-be-all score, it's a good indicator of the "technical SEO health" of a website.

The support and step-by-step guidance I received made all the difference in overcoming these challenges.

With Enough Grit, One Can Get The Best Of Both Worlds

What started as basic curiosity about online visibility has become a legitimate career path with measurable client results. Her experience proves what we've been saying all along - structured, comprehensive SEO training beats piecing together random YouTube tutorials every single time.

If you're on the fence about investing in your SEO education, take note: Dominique pushed through the learning curve, leveraged expert mentorship when stuck, and now successfully balances being a musician and being an SEO Specialist.

Whether you're looking to pivot careers entirely or add another service to your freelance arsenal, proper SEO training is an investment with serious ROI potential.

With the right training and hustle, you could be the one solving their problems and cashing those payments!

I would like to thank Dominique for taking the time to answer these questions despite her busy schedule. If you want to see follow Dominique, here are her social media handles:
